The following pieces highlight projects completed across multiple courses during my time at California State University, Fullerton. These works reflect the development of both my creative and strategic skill sets.
Through classes such as Digital Foundations and COMM: Creative Strategy and Execution, I built strong proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite while gaining a solid understanding of layout, typography, and visual hierarchy. At the same time, these projects introduced key advertising principles, including audience targeting, brand messaging, and creative strategy.
Together, these pieces show how my design skills and advertising knowledge evolved hand in hand, shaping my approach to creating intentional, effective visual communication.
My freelance work reflects the early stages of my creative journey and focuses on gaining real-world experience. While I am still new to freelancing, these projects have allowed me to work with a variety of clients across different industries.
My work has included logo design for car detailers, barbers, and school clubs, promotional flyers for Shannon’s Corner – Secret Island Tiki Bar, redesigned flyers for a dental office, and a custom banner for a Pokémon card trader. Most of these projects came through people I already knew, helping me build confidence, strengthen my skills, and learn how to adapt my designs to different client needs.
These experiences have been key in continuing to grow my design and communication abilities.
My personal work is driven by creativity, experimentation, and enjoyment. These projects are created purely for fun and allow me to explore new ideas without client constraints.
Most of this work focuses on expanding my Photoshop skills, using friends and family as subjects and transforming them into models, album/movie covers, or stylized visual concepts. This space has allowed me to experiment with photo manipulation, lighting, textures, and composition in a more expressive way.
Moving forward, I plan to continue growing this section by creating custom concert tickets inspired by shows I’ve attended, turning personal experiences into unique, collectible design pieces.
As a Creative Executive for AdClub at California State University, Fullerton, I created graphics and digital content to promote meetings and events while collaborating closely with a creative team. I also worked with the executive board to help plan and facilitate meetings and larger events.
A key experience in this role was helping organize a major event that brought in guest speakers from the advertising industry, giving me hands-on experience in event planning, promotion, and teamwork. This position strengthened my skills in creative leadership, collaboration, and strategic communication.
